I have been elected as a Liberal Democrat, however, I intend to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion.
I first became a councillor (for Totnes Town Council) in June 1991. In May 1995, I was elected to South Hams District Council. And in June 2005, I was elected to Devon County Council. I held my seat at subsequent elections and am still a councillor on all three councils.
I am an accountant by profession and run South Devon Accountancy Ltd.
I am married to Tricia (a retired head teacher), we celebrated our ruby wedding in 2007. I have two grown up children, Stephen and Sarah, who both went to Keviccs. They now both live in or near Brighton. I have 3 grandchildren.
My non council interests are pub quizzes, wine, and reading. I am chair of the South Devon Tennis League and am a vice president of Totnes Rugby Club.
